About Golf Public
What is Golf Public?
Golf Public shows open tee times at 75 public golf courses in Las Vegas & Summerlin, Henderson & Boulder City, Mesquite, Laughlin & Bullhead City, Pahrump and Reno, Carson & Tahoe in one list, with prices, round length, pace, phone numbers and hole-by-hole maps. It checks every course's booking system every hour.
Is it free?
Yes. There are no accounts and no fees. You only pay the course, when you book with them.
Who runs Golf Public?
Golf Public is an independent site made by a golfer in Sacramento. It isn't owned by or affiliated with any golf course or booking company.
Booking and prices
Does Golf Public book the tee time?
No. Tapping a time opens that course's own booking page, where you book and pay. That page has the final word on price and availability.
Why is a time gone, or the price different, when I tap Book?
Golf Public checks every hour, and good times get booked fast. Prices can also change between checks. Prices are per golfer as the booking site shows them, before any booking fee; sorting by price uses the total with fees.
How often is it updated?
Every hour, day and night. The top of the page shows when it last checked.
Why don't some courses show tee times?
Golf Public shows live tee times for every course that sells them through a booking system it can read. The rest are still listed, with their phone number, booking rules and a link, so every public course is in one place. Each one says how it books: by phone, through the resort, on the course's own website, or walk-up.
Why isn't my course listed?
Golf Public lists public courses whose booking systems show tee times online. Some courses only book by phone, or use a system it can't read yet. Tell us which course you'd like to see.
Tee time alerts
How do alerts work?
Tap the bell on any course, choose the day, the time of day, how many players and an optional price limit, and enter your email. Tap the link in the confirmation email to start it. Golf Public emails you when a matching tee time opens up or drops in price: at most three emails a day, and never the same time twice.
How do I stop an alert?
Every alert email has a Stop this alert link. Alerts also end on their own after their day, or after 30 days for weekly alerts.
Reading the listings
What do quiet, steady and packed mean?
How booked up the course is. Quiet means under 40% of its times are taken, steady is 40 to 75%, and packed is more than 75%.
What does the clock, like 2h35, mean?
Our estimate of how long the round will take. Busy days run longer.
What are Deals?
Times the booking site has marked down: a hot deal, or 25% or more off.
What is Youth on Course (YOC)?
Reduced rates for young golfers (ages 6 to 18) who are members of that program, at the courses that take part. Each course sets its own rules.
Playing with friends
Can I send a tee time to my group?
Yes. Tap Send to my group on any tee time and pick your group text. Your friends see the course, day, time and price, and one tap opens that same time on Golf Public, ready to book.
How do I plan a round with friends?
Tap Plan a round, choose the days and parts of the day that work for you, and send the link. Friends mark what works for them, and Golf Public shows the open tee times that fit everyone.
Using it on your phone
Can I put Golf Public on my home screen?
Yes. On an iPhone, open golfpublic.app in Safari, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open it in Chrome, tap the menu, then Add to Home screen or Install app. It opens like an app and keeps itself up to date.
Privacy and contact
How does Golf Public know my area?
On your first visit, it uses the approximate location of your internet connection (city level, from Cloudflare) to show the region nearest you. It isn't stored. Tap the ✕ on the region, or pick others in Filters, and your choice is remembered.
Does Golf Public collect my information?
There are no accounts and no tracking cookies. Golf Public only asks for an email address if you set an alert, or if you'd like a reply to feedback. See Terms and privacy.
